Frequently Asked Questions


We provide nutritious, well balanced meals, prepared following County guidelines. We supply regular meals and also mild diabetic meals (no added sugars). We are unable to follow more specific dietary requirements.

The noon time meal consists of a protein, vegetable and starch and is delivered hot and ready to eat. The evening meal is served cold and consists of a sandwich on wheat bread, fruit (fresh fruit 3 times weekly), salad, fruit juice, 1% milk, bread and dessert (the mild diabetic meals contain no added sugar).

The hot and cold meals are delivered together between the hours of 11:30am and 1:00pm Monday through Friday. Meals are not delivered on certain important holidays e.g. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day, Passover, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.

Yes, clients pay $40 per week for two meals a day, on weekdays. The initial two week period is paid for on the first day of service. If financial assistance is needed, applications can be made to the County for assistance.

A telephone interview and application will be conducted by our intake chairman to determine your qualifications and specific needs. New clients are served for a minimum of two weeks, starting on Mondays.
